to Sky Highway as it meanders along the coastline up towards

With a significant increase in population between West Vancouver
and the city of Squamish, the Sea to Sky Highway towns and

are very high up on the mountain sloping down to the beautiful
shoreline. The Porteau Cove real estate development in contrast
is on the west side of the Highway. Currently, the project

and more.
Further up the coastline on the Sea to Sky Highway is Britannia
Beach which has seen an enormous growth in real estate development
plans. The Britannia Beach real estate market is booming,
with many open and serviced lots coming onto the market.
One advantage of the Britannia Beach township along the
Sea to Sky Highway is that it is relatively close to allthe
amenities that Squamish has to offer and is still about
just under 45 minutes from West Vancouver. Britannia Beach
lots for sale and real estate are going up the coastline
towards the east side of Highway 1, which means that many
of the vacant lots for sale are very large and on sloping
grounds. It’s been a great place for both real estate
investors and developers to sink their mark into this beautiful
area that overlooks the waterfront areas of the Sea to Sky
Highway. You can easily search for real estate along Britannia
Beach on the internet and many realtors now have posted
lots for sale and serviced lots on their web sites. You

capital of the world, Squamish is hot.
Shannon Falls is the next area you will encounter on your
way up to Whistler BC and this is a beautiful provincial
park area that is so unique, that you will want to stay
for a while. With a magnificent waterfall and many picnic
areas, it’s a great area for a stop along the Sea
to Sky Highway. Close by is the City of Squamish which has
grown leaps and bounds during the past five years, mainly
do to its picturesque setting, close proximity to Whistler/Blackcomb
and also affordable real estate. It has become a haven for
real estate investors in Squamish, as the city prepares
for the Winter Olympics in 2010. The Rock is the place to
do your outdoor climbing and hiking, and it is considered
the largest standing rock in the world after Ayers Rock
in Australia. Squamish real estate is very diverse, as you
can find single family homes along the water or within the
city centre, in addition to a growing number of multi-family
housing including condo apartments, townhomes and duplex
homes. Squamish is set for a big population increase, and
the real estate construction certainly shows this.
Before
Whistler, you will reach the town of Brackendale where you
can find great real estate prices, homes and lots for sale.
Whistler presales and preconstruction condos have slowed
down, but are a great bargain now before the Olympics
Further up north is the town of Brackendale, which is a
perfect spot for you to see the Bald Eagles and other wildlife,
bird life and much more. A Brackendale real estate development
called has been launched, offering home sites to
purchasers. A beautiful and remote town, Brackendale has
escaped much of the real estate hype that the rest of the
Sea to Sky Highway has endured over the past decade, but
there are certainly great finds in and around Brackendale
that include townhome deveopments as well as serviced lots
and acreage/land. Brackendale Estates is one of the many
examples of new real estate property investments and developments
along the Sea to Sky that are expected to be completed by
the 2010 Winter Olympics. Once you hit Brackendale, it is
about only thirty minutes from Whistler-Blackcomb Resort,
one of the most expensive yet highly rated ski/snowboard
and mountain biking/hiking resorts in the entire world.
Real estate prices in Whistler have stagnated over the past
few years, but has started to pickup again in 2008. Stay
tuned for large price increases in Whistler real estate
in time for the Winter Olympics.
