Opsal Steel Vancouver East Condo Development


The Opsal Steel Vancouver East Vancouver condominium development is from an original industrial building and resurrected by Bastion Developments.A prime example of early 1900's construction is being re-created by Bastion Developments at the once fabled Opsal Steel building, a landmark at the corner of East 2nd and Quebec in the East side of Vancouver. Inside the building are a number of interesting artifacts related to the casting and manufacture of steel equipment for the logging industry, including a gantry crane and wooden casting moulds. Opsal Steel - Spring 2007. One of the mandates of the East Vancouver renovation real estate project in 2007 for the Opsal Steel residential building is to salvage and incorporate the heavy timber framework, wooden siding and windows of the office building into the new property development. The timber frame will be documented and numbered, dismantled, removed and stored off-site. Much of the original cladding will be salvaged and reused for partitions in the interior courtyard. Langley Village Final Weekend of Previews!
