Surprisingly for such an established area, single family housing in Lower Lonsdale North Van has become virtually nonexistent here as Lonsdale clearly embraces the trent toward higher density living. If you can find a detached house in Lower Lonsdale North Vancouver, it will likely be on the east side of Lonsdale and above 3rd Avenue. Expect to fork out a minimum of $600,000 for even a smaller, older bungalow. Newer but still modest houses can be had for $800,000. Townhouses offer slightly better choice although the real estate Lower Lonsdale market is still limited. Most zoom past that figure, slowing in the $900,000 range, pausing for a breath, then leaping up to $1.5 million or more for penthouse Lower Lonsdale condo suites at the Pier development with every conceivable amenity and to-die-for views.
