The initial daytime and night time renderings (as well as podium, views and other images) of the impressive 50 storey tower at 3 Civic Plaza Surrey Hotel & Residences is now online! Check them out as they are very impressive. This is the tallest Surrey skyscraper. The mixed use development is brought to you by the Surrey City Development Corporation (also known as SCDC) as well as Century Group which recently announced the preconstruction 3 Civic Plaza Surrey condos and the Cotter Architects rendering. The project will include high-rise Surrey condos, office space as well as a one hundred and sixty suite hotel. The total height of the preconstruction Surrey 3 Civic Plaza Hotel & Residence tower will be 517 feet, making it the 5th tallest in the Lower Mainland. According to the Century Group president, “investing in the new Surrey City Centre is essential to create the conditions for success- the kind of place we can all be proud to call home”. In addition to the 160 unit boutique hotel, the Century Group 3 Civic Plaza Surrey condo tower will also be home to up to 330 residential units for sale. There is no rental component to this project and there hasn’t been an announcement regarding who will take up the ground floor retail space. According to the Surrey Mayor, ““Forty-five per cent of the region’s industrial land belongs to Surrey. We’re preparing for hundreds of thousands of people to live and work here”. The 3 Civic Plaza Surrey Condo Hotel announcement was the showpiece of a media tour of Surrey Centre real estate market, where $2.7 billion in public and private projects are coming forward as part of a massive building spree. The Surrey City Centre projects in addition to the recently announced Century Group 3 Civic Plaza Surrey Condo Hotel include new headquarters for the B.C. RCMP at a cost of almost $1 billion, a half-billion tower at Surrey Memorial Hospital, a new City Hall, a performing arts theatre and some 12 residential condominium towers in various stages of development.

This translates to about $500 per square foot, putting it near the top of the range in the Surrey City Centre real estate market, but for great reasons. The official launch of the 3 Civic Plaza Surrey presales will be in late October and the eventual skyscraper will also join the new Surrey Centre Library and the new Surrey City Hall at the Civic outdoor Plaza. A 3rd party company, MPC Intelligence Inc notes that they don’t see 3 Civic Plaza Surrey condos having any problem selling at or near the same rate as the Wave Surrey City Centre condo tower that is now 70% pre-sold, and is being developed just 2 blocks away.
